C. Roy Carmichael is a comprehensive K-6 public elementary school serving 350 students from Plumas Unified School District's eastern side, stretching from Graeagle to the Sierra Valley.
CRC has an active PTA, a staffed library and computer lab, choral and instrumental music programs, and an on-site after-school program (currently with a waiting list). Our students enjoy our Halloween costume parade, our Christmas shopping spree, student council-sponsored spirit days, a spelling bee, an art gallery, a science fair, a student talent show, and a Renaissance Faire. Our families enjoy a free movie night once per month, and our sixth graders participate in a series of outdoor education trips that are unique in California.
We accept no limits on the learning potential of our students. We treat each other with compassion and respect. We listen, respond, and follow through. We are a family and community center. We try to be a school where happiness, fun, and learning happen at the same time.
